Covering Golf
On Sunday, our local Air Force Association chapter sponsored a golf tournament at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. As their VP for Communications, I helped set up the online payments option on their website which I maintain for them. This annual event raises much needed funds for the Air Force ROTC cadets at San Diego State University. It’s much more special for me as an alum of this long and proud detachment.
I woke up Sunday feeling the flu bug in all its glory. Not doing well at all.
Against my better judgement, I went out to the tournament to help get set up so we were ready to greet our players and get them registered. I had to take out some ice and our big cooler anyway and had committed to taking photographs.
I managed to hold it together for about five hours but then was about to pass out so decided to be grateful for the photographs I got. Here are a few. You can find the rest on the Chapter’s website.
I’m finally feeling better today after two days off sick from work. Hope you all are doing well and will not be suffering from the spring flu anytime soon.

Welcome
Welcome to my brand new website and blog. I’m very grateful for the great support from Billy and Justin at Fastline Media
who designed and seamlessly integrated my website, blog and SmugMug galleries with a simple and clean presence that’s easy to navigate and complements my content. The guys were extremely easy to work with and were very patient as I shared my vision for what I wanted this site to be.
My plan is to use this blog as way to connect personally with those who choose to follow along. As a contributing writer for PhotographyBB magazine I’ll also connect to my writings there. Keep in mind that I’m an amateur photographer so what you’ll see here will reflect knowledge gaps and my personal photographic challenges as I share my learning through those who have much more experience than I do.
My hope is that by communicating my photography learning experiences, you’ll be able to grow with me. On any one day I may share something that you already know and consider fairly basic and elementary. I’d be grateful if you’d help me make sure my writing is accurate and on target. If there’s something to add, I hope you’ll be willing to comment so others can benefit from our discussion. I encourage you to create a link from here to your favorite RSS reader so you can get real time updates when new content is posted.
At the very least, I hope that you’ll bear with me during those times when the content might not be so relevant to you and that you’ll come back again to read something that might not be quite as familiar.
