We have family here from out of town. That’s what happens when you live in San Diego!
Sunday we went out to breakfast at the Fig Tree Cafe in Pacific Beach. Anywhere you go these days there’s usually a wait unless your son gets there early enough and gets a table just as you arrive.
After breakfast, we drove to Mission Beach and took our walk along the boardwalk. It was crazy busy but worth going to. The Mission Beach to Pacific Beach boardwalk is such an eclectic place. I took along my Leica M (typ 262) just for the ease of use. I’m equally happy with either my Leica MP or the 262 depending on how I plan to shoot and whether I feel like processing and scanning film. Having two cameras that shoot so much the same way is really great. There’s really not that much difference at all. On the 262, I turn off the LCD screen and don’t chimp while I shoot so until I get back to the car or to home I never really know what I got. I shoot DNG’s and JPEG’s.
Here are some of my selects from the walk. All are unprocessed JPEG’s straight out of the camera.
As always, thanks for reading.
