I really am not one to experiment with my film stock. Someone (you might know who you are) gave me quite a few rolls of 120 film sometime ago. I thought I should start shooting them. I’ve kept them in the freezer since I got them a few years ago but their expiration dates go back to the late 90’s and not knowing their history for the past 20 years before I put them in deep freeze, I expected to get some weird results.
This roll of Fuji Velvia 50 was shot at iso 6 on my Rolleiflex. I honestly didn’t know what to expect. The dynamic range looking into the setting sun was way over the latitude I know Velvia could handle but I shot it anyway. The film came back from my lab today and I was a bit shocked to see how pink they were. Oh well, not my style but maybe I can be a hipster once in a while!
As always, thanks for reading and seeing pink with me!
