Flood Tide at Black’s Beach, La Jolla, California

Took one of my lunch time walks along Black’s Beach in La Jolla today.  I had my Fuji X100s with me.

The beach was interesting.  There was a flood tide seven feet above normal and some large surf to add to the push of water almost to the cliff edges.  There was room to walk but it was interesting to see the pools of water that would flow on to the higher parts of the beach creating nice reflections.  I shoot raw and jpeg with my X100s.  I started out shooting in color jpegs then switched to black and white when I saw the structure and light.

So, here you go, a mixture of color and black and white.
