Beach Weather

I’m posting this now, on the first day of October.  For my friends who live in normal climates where there’s more than one season, you’ll appreciate that this post won’t be shared in January when you’re all digging through twelve inches of the white stuff.  Well, there may be more than one season in San Diego but for those who go through the extremes of four, you’d be hard to convince.

I am a bit backed up with film processing so I’m shooting a bit more with my Fuji X100s.  The Fuji isn’t a step down in any way from using my film cameras, it’s just different.  But it is easy to get images on my computer.  I’ll be catching up on developing and scanning later this week or weekend.

I want to show some more examples of Rebecca Lily’s Pro Set III which I used to process these images in Lightroom.  This time I used Rio III which seemed perfect for this light and the beach scenes from my noontime walk today.  I am so happy to work so close to one of the best beaches in the world.  Not only one of the best, but one of the least visited.  It’s not busy because it’s hard to get to.  I walk down steps that begin five hundred feet above the shoreline, walk a few miles south and then up a hill the same height on a very steep limited access road.  It’s great exercise and the reason I do it.  Of course I almost always have my camera with me.  It’s noontime light but Rebecca’s preset gives them a pastel look that I really like.  Hope you agree.

As always, thanks for reading and I hope summer like weather goes well into October wherever you are.
